Member of Family: Hesperiidae
French common name: Hespérie Persius
The Eastern subspecies ( persius ) appears to be extirpated from Southern Ontario and Quebec. The northern subspecies ( borealis ) is similar in appearance and is still found in Northern Quebec. I have yet to photograph either subspecies locally, so I'm using photos I obtained from the Western US.
