Butterfly Families

Quebec's Butterflies are divided into 5 families:

The pages in these sections are organized taxonomically, according to family, subfamily, and species. Clicking on any of the links above will bring you to a page for the corresponding butterfly family. On these family pages you'll find thumbnail images for each species which provide access to the corresponding species pages. On each of these species pages you'll find a selection of images and a link to the corresponding Butterflies of Canada page which provides descriptive information.

A number of species found strictly in Northern Quebec are missing, but I hope to add them in the future. The species lists are derived from a number of sources listed on the references page.
