There is some uncertainty about whether this species is found in Quebec. Recent taxonomic work indicates that Azures found in Eastern Ontario in summer are most likely a second brood of the Northern Azure ( Celastrina lucia ). This is likely to be the case in Quebec as well, but the Summer Azure may be found in extreme Southern Quebec, near the US border.
